IT - Phobias coming to life!

When it comes to horror films, I took the back seat in terms to watching them. Always seen them on posters and then just nudged it off refusing to watch any of them. IT came out and my usual self was reluctant on seeing it. I had watched the trailers and one thing always caught my attention and it was the way the characters were portrayed. This spark of interest from these characters made me research the origin and inspiration for the film. Basing itself of a mythological entity made my interest even larger and eventually I gave in and watched my first horror movie on purpose. I was taken on a journey of fear, confusion and a test of willpower.

The movie is set in the summer of 1989 in the town of Derry. Multiple locations were taken for the film. Another grabbing point for the film is the clown which is most peoples irrational fear. I usually wouldn't watch IT, but the way the story was framed is what compelled me to continue to watch. The trailers that were released showed all of these traits with pulled in a wide audience. Also being a remake with a large fanbase, many people were enticed to following this remake. The posters were filled with a sense of fear and a child like view.
